Traffic impacts and information to consider

  • Maintains convenient access for residents, businesses and visitors
  • Provides less opportunities for landscaping, seating and other streetscape improvements
  • Less safety benefits for pedestrians as they will need to be aware of vehicles approaching from both directions
  • More road space is needed for two-way traffic, which reduces the space available for parking or streetscape improvements
  • Less reduction in traffic and vehicle speeds compared to other options
Traffic reduction on Rose StreetA slight reduction possible as some drivers may choose alternative routes due to a more restrictive street layout changes.
Impact on surrounding streetsMay increase slightly, as some drivers may use surrounding streets due to changes to the Rose Street layout.
Impact on local accessNo impact on local access, traffic access maintained in both directions.
