Council will consider next steps for the Building a Safe and Liveable Coppin Street project at the next Council Meeting on Tuesday 8 April 2025
Thank you for sharing your feedback as part of our Building a Safe and Liveable Coppin Street consultation in November and December 2024.
We have reviewed and considered all the feedback provided during the stage 1 consultation and will be presenting the engagement report and recommendations to be considered by Council for a decision on next steps for this project.

We want to make walking, riding and scooting on Coppin Street easier for people of all ages and abilities.
Our commitment in the Yarra Transport Strategy 2022-32 is to deliver a network of safe, attractive and connected bike routes with better streets for everyone to use as part of the New Deal for Cycling program.
Last year we completed upgrade pilots on Coppin Street at the intersections with Bridge Road and Swan Street to test ideas and gather community feedback. During this period there were no crashes reported, people told us that they felt safer and there was a big increase in people cycling along Coppin Street.
Now we need your feedback to help us design safer transport infrastructure for the rest of Coppin Street between Highett Street and Barkly Avenue.
