Yarra City Council adopts a bold, ambitious and community-focused budget for the next financial year

At the Council Meeting on Tuesday 17 June 2025, Council adopted the 2025-26 Budget and Revenue and Rating Plan. Thank you to everyone who participated in the community consultation process.

This budget outlines our investment for the community for the next four years and represents a bold vision for our city, delivering the largest capital works program in Yarra’s history while ensuring financial responsibility and sustainability.

Yarra is a growing and changing community, and with this comes the need for infrastructure and services that meet the expectations and needs of both current and future residents, workers and visitors. This budget prioritises the expansion and improvement of our public spaces, libraries, leisure centres, transport networks, and community facilities.

The draft Budget was open for feedback until 5pm on Friday 23 May 2025. We were also seeking feedback on the draft Revenue and Rating Plan.
