Councillors have been hard at work reviewing the community priorities identified during the community engagement process and have come up with a series of objectives and actions to address the aspirations of our community.
The draft Council Plan 2025-29 objectives aim to balance Council’s need to accommodate our existing, growing and changing population while remaining a financially sustainable organisation.
The objectives include:
A community led vision for Yarra that outlines your hopes, aspirations and priorities for the next 11 years.
A financially sustainable projection that connects how the actions of a Council Plan may be funded to achieve the aspirations in the Community Vision.
A roadmap to ensure Council can effectively use our assets including Council buildings, transport assets, stormwater assets and open space.
A guide that informs Council’s existing and planned infrastructure planning to ensure they meet community needs now and into the future.
The Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan which guides Council’s work in protecting, improving and promoting our community’s health and wellbeing.
