When we talk about exercise, we are talking about moving your body in any way that you like. It can be different for everyone.
It's not just about going for a run. It could be dancing, walking to the shops or even doing gardening.
Why should you exercise?
Exercise is important for good health and wellbeing at any age. It helps:
- improve physical and mental health
- improve quality of life
- increase energy
- reduce the risk of many health conditions
- reduce the risk of overweight and obesity
- maintain or improve blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar levels.
