What's the vision?

“The Heidelberg Road corridor will be a greener, better-connected, more pedestrian friendly and vibrant place.”

How was it developed?

We developed an early draft of the Local Area Plan (LAP) in late 2019, which was endorsed for consultation at a council meeting on 19 December 2019. We also received some comments at this council meeting and another on 4 February 2020.

At this point, Darebin Council hadn't finalised the parts relevant to its side of the road. Now that Darebin has completed its work, we're asking for your feedback.

What's included

The draft LAP covers topics such as economic activity, housing and community services, transport and movement, public realm and built form, and open space and environment.
