This treatment aims to address the conflict between pedestrians and cyclists on the Eastern Freeway overpass. The overpass is not wide enough to support both users.

What is the proposed treatment?

The proposed treatment includes signage to encourage cyclists to dismount and walk their bikes on the overpass. Cyclists will also be encouraged to use a safe alternate route via Maugie Street, Hoddle Street and Alexandra Parade East.
