A new two-storey building is proposed, to meet the needs of local sporting clubs.

Why has this been added to the new concept plan?

The original concept plan shared for feedback in 2019 proposed these facilities as additions to the existing grandstand at Brunswick Street Oval. That concept did not meet heritage requirements, and so a new building is now proposed.

What is included in the proposed new pavilion?

On the ground floor:

  • four change rooms
  • kiosk
  • first aid facilities
  • umpire's facilities
  • match day public toilets.

On the first floor:

  • a club room with a view over the oval, to meet the needs of sporting clubs
  • commercial kitchen
  • amenities including toilets
  • lift access

The brickwork construction proposed for the new building echoes the colour and texture of the original heritage ticket box on the south western end of the oval.
