PROPOSED ROAD DISCONTINUANCE

PUBLIC NOTICE INVITING SUBMISSIONS UNDER SECTION 223

Yarra City Council (Council), acting under clause 3 of schedule 10 to the Local Government Act 1989 (Act), proposes to discontinue the road abutting 161 Sackville Street, Collingwood, being the 47m² parcel identified as “Lot 1” on the plan below, comprising the whole of the land in certificate of title volume 6106 folio 190 and a parcel of adjoining hiatus land not contained in any certificate of title (Road).

The proposal is that Council discontinue the Road and sell it to the owner of the adjoining properties at 161 Sackville Street and 222A Johnston Street, Collingwood for market value.

The title plan extract below shows the Road alongside a corresponding site plan, with the Road coloured red.

Any person may make a submission on the proposal.

Any person wishing to make a submission under section 223 of the Act must do so in writing by 11 September 2026.

Yarra City Council (Council), acting under clause 3 of schedule 10 to the Local Government Act 1989 (Act), proposes to discontinue the airbridge abutting 50 Little Gore Street, Fitzroy, being the 14.1m² parcel of land shown cross-hatched on the plan below, being part of the land contained in Memorial Book C no. 022 (in AP243) (Gore Street Airbridge).

The proposal is that Council discontinue the Gore Street Airbridge and transfer it to the owner of the adjoining property at 50 Little Gore Street, Fitzroy (Adjoining Owner) in exchange for the transfer of the airbridge adjoining 78 Webb Street, Fitzroy, shown hatched on the plan below (Webb Street Airbridge), from the Adjoining Owner to Council.
