Thank you for giving us your feedback on our draft Domestic Animal Management Plan 2021-24, which helps us manage dogs and cats in our city.
Your input helped is finalise this document which guides our approach to registration and desexing, how we handle stray or nuisance animals, overpopulation and education programs for locals.
Read the endorsed Domestic Animal Management Plan 2021-24.
What does the plan do?
We’re required by law to develop a Domestic Animal Management Plan every four years.
It provides us with an important tool to promote responsible pet ownership in Yarra, and lets pet owners and residents know about their rights and responsibilities when it comes to our four-legged friends.
