We’re seeking expressions of interest from local residents interested in helping to shape the future of aged care services in Yarra.
To prepare for the Federal Government's changes to My Aged Care in 2020, we are seeking a range of community members including service users, their family members or carers, and general residents to join a community panel discussion on the future of aged care services.
You don’t need to have any special knowledge about aged care, just an interest in making a contribution to your community. If you are selected you will be provided with information about the My Aged Care system, and fully supported to participate in these facilitated discussions.
The role of the panel will be to:
- Tell us how new service options might impact you.
- Provide recommendations on how Yarra Council can best use its resources to support older residents under the My Aged Care system.
- Help identify any gaps left by the new system and suggest opportunities for Council to add value.
We received a large number of responses for this panel the expression of interest process for this community panel has now closed. We will be in touch with all applicants in the week starting October 1.
